I am studying up on heart attack and most sites say Heart Attack related chest pain might radiate to the neck or shoulders. Is it possible for such person suffering a Heart attack to have neck pain but no chest pain at all. Well, I have your answer right here. Yes it is. Although chest pain +/- radiation to the left neck/upper limb is the typical presentation, it is highly varied. The location can be solely in the neck, upper limb, or even in the upper abdomen – in the neck and upper limb it has a higher preponderance to be on the left side of the body. Additionally, often the ‘pain’ isn’t even described by a patient as pain, but described instead as a heavy pressure.
